It is an enduring tradition to take time to pause and turn the leaves of success, experiences and glorious achievements made through this fruitful year. Let us take a stop to count our blessings and milestones accomplished that have made us feel proud this academic year. Let me embark on the pleasant journey of reading the annual report 2023-24 which has set a benchmark for the next academic year 2024-’25.

ACADEMICS

“The whole purpose of education is to turn mirrors into windows.” Achieving academic excellence is at the heart of the endeavour of all educators and academic institutions. An important measure of this pursuit is to ensure quality education for students and to do a reality check through examinations under various levels. We are proud to convey that the school has made excellent results in grade 10 and 12 board exams and created a history in the annals of Adarsha by standing second in the All India Shikshan Bharathi rating. I proudly place before you the achievements of our students in chronological order. Out of 157 students who appeared for the SSE, 38 students secured A1 in all subjects, 155 secured distinction and 2 got first class. Jeevan Jagdeep topped the SSE by scoring 496/500 (99.2%) Out of the 144 students who appeared for the SSCE, 23 bagged A1 in all subjects, 136 students secured distinction and 8 students got First class. Arnav Anish with 478/500 (95.6%), Riya Anil with 491/500 (98.2%) and Mythili Manoj with 494/500(98.8%) brought laurels to the school with their outstanding performance in the Commerce, Science and Humanities streams, respectively. This year, 159 students are appearing for SSE and 149 for SSCE. Our blessings and best wishes to all.

SCHOOL SENATE

The school educates children to run an election in the most democratic way to choose their leaders. Nevertheless, the children also learn the value of voting and the significance of a senate in school. The Investiture Ceremony is the first solemn function which is held in all its grandeur at the beginning of June to embark on the responsibilities and duties of students at school. The elected leaders from both primary and secondary are universally chosen, titled, and pinned with their leadership badges to discharge their duties as head girl, head boy, sports captains, house captains and vice captains. This year, Master Niranjan Warrier, and Ms. Evangel Davis from grade 12 were elected as senior head boy and head girl, respectively. While the junior head boy and head girl were Master Bharat Satheesan, and Ms Akshitha Rajeev from grade 10. The general body works hand in glove with the teachers and is instrumental in all the activities of the school. IMPORTANT DAYS OBSERVED Celebrations and events at Adarsha have become an integral part of learning and for the holistic development of the student community. Celebrating national and regional festivals, like Onam, Christmas, Deepavali, Eid, and Ramayana week, depicting our culture and tradition are celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm mainly to understand the incredibility of the country and to showcase the relevance of these festivals in the past, their significance in the present and the values that they carry from generation to generation. Important days like World Aids Day, Anti-Child Labour Day, Day against Drug Trafficking and Abuse, Vigilance Day, etc., are observed to create awareness and make students realise the hazards of negative elements in society and to uproot them at the grassroots level. Days of national reverence like Independence Day, Republic Day, Constitutional Day, and National Youth Day are observed with all importance. Children are given opportunities to display the relevance of these days in the form of skits, role play, speeches, dance, mime etc. during the morning assembly..
